Chief’s Modern Cocktail Parlor is a cocktail lounge in a historic NoDa mill home with beverages crafted by the one and only, Bob Peters. In the morning, we serve coffee and espresso, sourced from local Charlotte roaster, Night Swim Coffee, with light breakfast items from our sister restaurant, The Goodyear House.

- Step into our cocktail parlor any time—no reservation required. Take a seat, relax, and let us lead you through a curated cocktail experience. Whether you're grabbing a drink before or after dinner, or plan to hang for the night, Bob and our crew are happy to have you. If you walk-in and we don't have any seats, we will add you to our wait list and call you when a table is available.

Led by esteemed mixologist Bob Peters, Chief’s is a tribute to his late father (known in the family as Chief) where guests enjoy elevated cocktails & first-class service in a relaxed, nostalgic atmosphere.
An architect by trade, Chief’s appreciation for thoughtful craftsmanship can be felt in every corner of our restored, historic mill house—from the homestyle furnishings to the artfully crafted libations. The intimate space offers a unique blend of past & present that invites folks to slow down & savor the finer things.
Private events
We'd love to host your event! Between our indoor space and patio, we are perfect for small to mid-size gatherings featuring cocktails, beer, wine, and hors d'oeuvres or small plates. If you're hosting a wedding next door at The Goodyear House, book Chief's as a bridal suite to get ready for or take breaks during your big day.
